JAMES IVORY: IN SEARCH OF LOVE AND BEAUTY is a biographical documentary portrait of Oscar® and BAFTA® award-winning director and screenwriter James Ivory (A Room With A View, Maurice, Howards End, The Remains of the Day, and Call Me By Your Name).

Featuring Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, and Wes Anderson, as well as other longtime friends and collaborators, this documentary chronicles the life and work of one of our most beloved independent filmmaking icons and follows Ivory from his youth and rise to international acclaim, through the tragic loss of longtime creative partners Ismail Merchant and Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, to the present, telling the story of his evolution to an Academy Award®-winning screenwriter who leads an active and creative life well into his 10th decade.

A powerful meditation on being true to yourself, and becoming yourself at every age, JAMES IVORY: IN SEARCH OF LOVE AND BEAUTY draws from never-before-seen archival footage, film clips, vérité sequences, behind-the-scenes outtakes and sit-down interviews to form a moving portrait of a great cinema artist.
